Listo Pros is estimating software for contractors. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do — and never do — with it.
Who this policy covers
Two different groups of people show up in Listo Pros, and they are treated differently.
- Contractors. The tradespeople who sign up for an account and build estimates. They give us their information directly.
- Customers.The homeowners and property managers who receive an estimate. They never create an account. Their contact details are entered by the contractor quoting their job, and we hold that information on the contractor’s behalf.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, business name, business phone number, and preferred language. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash — we never see or store your actual password.
- Customer information you enter.Your customer’s name, phone number, email address, job address, and whether they agreed to receive text messages.
- Estimate content. Rooms, measurements, products, prices, notes, and the estimates built from them.
- Technical information. Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use these to keep the service running and to investigate abuse.
We do not collect payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or precise device location.
How we use information
- To operate the service: build, store, send, and track estimates.
- To deliver estimates to your customers by text message and email, on your instruction.
- To translate and clean up estimate wording between English and Spanish when you ask us to.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
- To answer support requests and tell you about material changes to the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or to serve targeted ads.
Text messages
Listo Pros sends text messages from one shared phone number on behalf of every contractor who uses it. This section explains exactly how that works.
- Consent comes first. A contractor must confirm, in the app, that the customer agreed to receive text messages about their project before any message can be sent to that number. We record the date and time of that confirmation. If consent is not recorded, the app will not text that customer.
- What we send.Transactional project messages only — an estimate link, with the contractor’s business name, the total, and a phone number to call. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Messages are sent only when a contractor sends or updates an estimate, which is typically one to three messages per project.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for messages you send or receive. Listo Pros does not charge customers for text messages.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from Listo Pros immediately. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the address below. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your project — your contractor can still reach you by phone or email.
- Replies.Because the sending number is shared, replies other than STOP and HELP come to Listo Pros rather than to your contractor. Every message includes the contractor’s own phone number so you can reach them directly.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for. This exclusion applies to every category of sharing described in the next section.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers we need to run Listo Pros, and only so they can do that work for us. They are bound by contract to protect it and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Supabase — database, login, and file storage.
- Twilio — delivering text messages.
- Resend — delivering email.
- Anthropic — translating and tidying estimate wording when you use those features. Text sent for this purpose is not used to train models.
- Our hosting provider — serving the website itself.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users. If Listo Pros is ever acquired, information may transfer with the business, subject to this policy.
A contractor sees only their own company’s data. One contractor can never see another contractor’s customers, estimates, or pricing.
How long we keep information
We keep account and estimate information for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so records can be recovered and so we can meet tax and legal obligations. A record that a number replied STOP is kept indefinitely — that is how we make sure a number that opted out is never texted again. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS and encrypted at rest by our database provider. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so that each account reaches only its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these safeguards seriously and review them as the service grows.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them.
- Use the unsubscribe link in an email, or ask us, to stop non-essential email.
- Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. If you are a customer rather than an account holder, contact the contractor who quoted your job first — it is their record — or write to us and we will pass the request along.
Children
Listo Pros is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we will also notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
